STRESS MANAGEMENT and BREATHING EXERCISES

The world is running fast and we too.. We cannot blame anything or anyone.. At this time, a set of questions pops out in my mind..
  • How many of us spare time for a nice walk ?
  • How many of us take a time to plan what we eat ? This is a silly question, as most of us don't even take enough time to eat, chew or even see what is on our plate :( 
  • How many of us have a sound sleep ?
  • And the last question is " How many of us take time to breath properly  ???? " 
Many of you would wonder at this point.. What does that taking time to 'breath properly' means ?? I am alive and posting this article..  You are alive and reading.. Doesn't that mean we breath properly ?? 

And for this question,,, I would say,, "NO"

What is a proper breathing ??
  • Breathing through nose
  • Involving chest muscles, when you inhale i.e. expanding chest while inhaling
  • Exhaling slowly and steadily
  • Sitting/Standing straight while breathing (not during sleep .. lol..)
  • Breathing without disturbances like cough, sneeze or snore
  • Watching your breath and rhythm.. Breathing consciously ..
What are the benefits of proper breathing ??
  • Nervous system will be balanced
  • Brain will be activated with more oxygen supply
  • Muscles will be activated and so the metabolism rate
  • Blood pressure will be regulated
  • Good for heart
  • Good for digestion
  • Sleep will be regulated
  • All the above said benefits help in stress management
How can we implement a proper breathing in our lifestyle ??

Most of us have a tight schedule like job, managing kids, family, studies and so on.. How can we consciously would be really a tough job.. 24/7 we cannot consciously breath.. SO what can we do ??
  • Spend 5 minutes in the morning to breath consciously
  • Take a break in office/home @ 11 and do any breathing exercise
  • Take a break in office/home @ 4 and do any breathing exercise
  • Spend 5 minutes and breath consciously at night before going to bed

  • Expand your stomach, while inhaling
  • Contract your stomach. while exhaling
If you are a yoga practitioner, you would have done this in kapalbhati..

Friends, include a conscious breathing practice.. It has  benefits like weight-loss and a lot more..
