First comes the restaurant which encouraged me this much to use Millets.. All the Millet recipes I am trying nowadays is an inspiration from the restaurant..
Aarya Bhavan is the name of the restaurant.. It is in Nagercoil.. Opposite to Chettikulam Junction.. It is a decent class vegetarian restaurant with both AC and non - AC halls..

My parents live in Nagercoil and I never miss a chance of going to this restaurant whenever I go to my home.. First time, I was surprised to see their menu with all the Millet names.. each and every time I go there, I tried different kind of recipe.. Mostly Millet recipes only I have tried..
Breakfast and Lunch : Their breakfast and lunch are with bit usual recipes and the taste of the food is good always.. They have a very few Millet recipes for breakfast.. I have not seen more people coming there for breakfast.. Only tourists and new visitors who stay in hotels come there for breakfast.. But the hotel will be more and more crowded for lunch.. The meal will be a typical Nagercoil Style Banana Leaf lunch with more than 9 side dishes and 2 desserts.. My opinion is Breakfast and Lunch are good.. I don't have something special in healthy options..
Dinner: You can see the uniqueness of this restaurant in their Dinner.. They provide Dosas of all kind of Millets.. The list includes
- Varagu Dosa
- Kambu Dosa
- Chola Dosa
- Thinai Dosa
- Samai Dosa
- Varagu Dosa
- Ragi Dosa
Other Millet recipes are Varagu Idiyappam and Samai Pongal.. They also have Kambu Chapati and Ragi Chapati.. Their another speciality is Thakkali Dosa and Sorakkai Dosa.. As they serve these Dosas with 3 types of chutneys, sambar and idli podi, you can never stop having just a single dosa..
For those who do not have any opinion about Millets, this is a best restaurant of choice.. If you have the above said variety recipes from their hotel, you will never think that diet food is tasteless..
One thing you should never miss from the hotel is their Whole Wheat Paratha.. It is a super duper hit.. The parathas are flaky, soft inside and crispy outside.. I will bet you, you can never get something better than this in any other hotel..
Cost: 2 of us can have a filling Dinner for Rs. 200/-
Hygiene: I will give 4/5
I only prefer to eat healthy foods always. Though these are not tasty sometimes, but good for health. Most of the restaurants offer good fresh food but there are few who wants to cheat the customer with several wicked plans. Also when I go to some new places, first I read reviews about the particular restaurant and then go. Especially I love the south Indian breakfast items that are really healthy and tasty too. Dosa items are my favorite.
