Simple Garlic Gravy for Brown Rice

Ingredients
Garlic | 10-15 cloves |
Chopped Onion | 2 Tablespoons |
Chopped Tomato | 1 Tablespoons |
Tamarind | gooseberry sized soaked in water |
Sambar Powder | 2 Teaspoons |
Curry leaves | a handful |
Mustard Seeds | 1/2 Teaspoon |
Gingelly Oil | 2 Teaspoons |
Salt | as per taste |
Quick Procedure
Take required ingredients.. Soak tamarind in water and extract the juice.. |
Heat a pan.. Add 1 Teaspoon of gingelly oil.. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves and let it sputter.. |
Then, add garlic cloves.. Roast garlic cloves till they become soft.. |
Add chopped onions and saute till they become transparent.. |
Add tomatoes and cook them till soft.. Add sambar powder and saute till the raw smell goes off.. |
Add tamarind juice and salt.. Give a good mix and let everything boil till the raw smell goes off.. |
Finally add the remaining 1 Teaspoon of gingelly oil.. |
Now the garlic gravy is ready to serve with hot rice or brown rice .. |
