Step 20 - How to Lose Weight | Millets in our Weight Loss Diet

We all are familiar with the proverb, "Too much of anything is good for nothing".. It is the fact.. If anything is given beyond the dose, it will obviously result in something undesirable.. Millet family is not an exception..

Once I decided to start including Millet in my diet, I started searching about it in websites and the term which puzzled me is "Goitrogen".. Goitrogenic means it reduces Iodine absorption and it is a cause of Hypothyroidism.. It confused me a lot.. Because Millets have a High Glycemic Index, more micronutrients, and fibre.. How it can be left just because of the term "Goitrogen".. So I decide to consult a registered Dietician before introducing myself to Millets..

I had a scheduled appointment with my Dietician, Revathi.. I must mention this.. She is awesome.. She had time to answer all my questions.. And what I felt interesting is the data she maintained.. Yes,, she was having a software like thing to verify herself before answering.. Whenever I showed up in my face like I had doubt, she showed me the data and pacified.. To make it more interesting, I have drafted our conversation as comics.. The conclusion is the recommended maximum quantity of Millets for weight watchers, diabetic, hypothyroid patients, pregnant women, kids and others..
