
This is really post, which I make for myself. I myself forget a few things and will be searching for in future. Recently I learnt the technique for cooking brown basmati rice. I am just making a note of the measurements 4 and method in this post. If you don't have an idea of how to cook brown basmati rice, follow this recipe. This is only for brown color basmati rice. For regular basmati rice, we have different measurement and different method.
It is not a must to have brown rice nad brown basmati rice in your diet. I am one who cannot lose weight just by making simple steps. Losing weight is the toughest job for me. White rice does not show a significant reduction in weight and hence, I use brown rice twice a week. My diet lunch will have chapathi one day, brown rice two days, white rice two days and samai two days. It is like an inclusion of everything. I hate the highlightings that brown rice is not needed. Only white rice is enough in weight loss. Because, what is our tradition is having hand milled rice. Hand milled white rice is having more benefits than brown rice. But who can get hand milled rice nowadays ? So those who just blame brown rice, should never forget to mention "hand-milled white rice" or "kaikuthal arisi". If you can get hand-milled rice or chamba rice (kerala rice), it is better to go with it. If it is tough to et the above said varieties, go ahead with brown rice. Include it twice or thrice in a week. Never bother about the comments.

Brown Basmati Rice for Diets | How to cook Brown Basmati Rice ?

Serving size: 1 cup | Calories per serving: 250
Ingredients
1 cup of Brown Basmati Rice
3 cups of Water
Salt - for taste
3 cups of Water
Salt - for taste
Quick Procedure
Take water in a pan.
Wash and drain brown rice.
Add the rice to boiling water. Bring it to boil.
Once, it starts boiling, add some salt.
Reduce it to simme and Cover the vessel.
Cook for next 10 to 15 minutes. Don't stir it.
Finally, let it rest for 5 minutes.
You can now fluff it with a fork and serve. Don't stir it at the center and destroy the long grains.
