
I already posted chettinad beetroot soup recipe. This one is nothing different from it. If you ask me a word about this carrot soup, I will say just "TASTY".
When my friend Nagammai told me that they serve this soup wedding feast, I just thought how it will taste ? Once I made and tasted it, I understood the reason. It is perfectly suitable for feasts too.
This carrot soup is a tasty one. It has a nice aroma, which would make you drink wholesome bowl at a stretch. Also it very easy to make. It is definitely a kids friendly soup. C'mon let us see the recipe now.

Ingredients
Quick Procedure
- 2 tblspn moong dhal
- 1 small carrot
- 2 shallots
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 small tomato
- 1/4 cup milk at room temperature
- pepper and salt as per taste
- a small piece of pattai or cinnamon
- 1 clove or grambu
- 1/4 tsp cumin or seeragam
- 1 tsp olive oil or butter or gingelly oil
Quick Procedure
- Wash and drain moong dhal. Finely chop all vegetables.
- Heat some oil or butter in a pan. Add pattai, krambu and cumin seeds. Let them sputter.
- Add and saute shallots and garlic.
- Now add carrots, tomato and moong dhal. Add salt and water.
- Pressure cook for 2 whistles. We are done.
- At the time of serving, add some cold milk, pepper and little salt.
Tasty and healthy carrot soup with very nice flavor. Add pepper and salt, as per your taste at the time of serving.
