Mixing oats in smoothie is what I have heard years ago. But seeing it as a recipe in a book, triggered me to try it one day. I was little bit scared that including an uncooked oats grain was puzzling.
But it is OK guyz,, it tastes good. Dr. Ian had listed a lot of recipes. This is a modified version of his Berry-Berry Smoothie.
I believe in seasonal smoothies. Never go for a kiwi smoothie when it is not kiwi season at all. Same time, have a mango smoothie if it is mango season. Feeding ourselves with seasonal fruits is really good. They supply the vitamins and minerals our body inherently needs.
It is strawberry season here and that is the only reason for making this kind of smoothie. Also oats go well with strawberries.
