This is a post pregnancy recipe. This is also a weight loss recipe. It has all the spices needed post pregnancy recovery. It has carom or ajwain and garlic to increase to breast milk. It has dry ginger and turmeric to act as disinfectant. it has other few spices to rectify intestines and relieve us from gastric problems. It cures the digestive system and relieves from gastric trouble. It increases assimilation. It tightens the muscles. Thereby results in weight loss too. It is always good to have this kind of kuzhambu post-pregnancy. It can also be taken by new mothers for increasing lactation.

As it tightens muscles and rectifies digestive systems, it helps in weight loss. You can definitely use this as a weight loss recipe. This belongs to Nagercoil Cuisine. It is a post-pregnancy in Nagercoil. They call it as "Marundhu Kuzhambu".
There also add some peculiar medicinal spices. I have skipped them for making it simpler. My mom made it after my delivery and told that there will be bitterness in the kuzhambu. It was because, she added very little salt. But actually I liked it. It really made her happy, as there is no need to compel me or convince me to eat it. Even now I make this once or twice in a month. I strongly believe that it as a medicine.

You could add fishes like Sardines, King Fish, Tilapia or Salmon.
