Main Ingredients
- 1 cup of chopped vegetables (like carrot, beans, cabbage, beans)
- 1 small potato
- 3 cups of water
For sauteing
- 2 tsp gingelly oil
- 1/4 teaspoon of Cumin Seeds
- 5 shallots
- 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
- small piece of Ginger
- 1/4 tsp Curry Masala Powder
- a pinch of turmeric powder
Garnishing
- some coriander leaves
- salt and pepper as per taste
Quick Procedure
- Finely chop all vegetables. Peel the skin and make large cubes of potatoes.
- Mince ginger and garlic. Chop shallots.
- Heat gingelly oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and let it sputter.
- Add shallots, crushed ginger and garlic. saute till the raw smell goes off.
- Add the chopped vegetables and potatoes. Give a good mix.
- Add little salt, curry masala powder and turmeric powder. Mix it up.
- Finally add 3 cups of water and pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles.
- Open after the steam subsides. It will be nicely cooked.
- Take out the potatoes, mash and drop them in. Mix once again.
- At the time of serving, add pepper and salt. Sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves.
