SAVE YOUR MONEY, you spend unplanned for WEIGHT LOSS - PART 2


In the FIRST PART, we discussed a few things in which we waste money. To spend the penny wise, I am listing out a few items in this post. Read below and check out. 

Olive Oil

Are you one among those who first tried olive oil and changed your face reaction. Yep. Many people don't like olive oil. The flavor will seem different for those who try it for first time. Whenever you wish to try it, get a sample pack or a very very small sized bottle. Try using it. If you like the flavor, try next time. If not, you could shift to oils like coconut oil, ground nut oil and gingelly oil. They are also organic and have more and more HDLs. Olive oil is quiet costly to waste in bulk. 

Protein Powders

There are many people who buy protein powder and simply waste it. Yeah,,, Most of us don't like the taste or flavor of protein powders. Some of us just buy a protein powder as we hear from some of our friends that it helps most in weight loss. Are we really using it. Some of us throw it out, as we hate the taste.  Some of us keep in shelf for months and put in trash. Only a very few people continuously use it. Protein powder taken along with a lot of dietary changes result in weight loss. But at the same time, don;t believe in a dramatic weight loss. I hope you could understand what I say. Because, protein powders are a way costly. Cheap powders are really unhealthy. Please check reviews from  close friends before buying one for you.

Fiber Biscuits

Actually speaking, we definitely need some biscuits to manage the cravings. Fiber biscuit is the best option. But the market has started selling a lot of costly fiber biscuits. They offer a large packet at reasonable price, as a business tactics. Some of us buy. Have it for sometime. Fail storing it properly and then throw it out, if the smell goes stinky, Fiber biscuits need a proper way of storing. Otherwise, you need someone else at home, who also would eat fiber biscuits. If you fail to store it properly or don't have an extra ticket at your home to share the biscuits, your money is gonna be wasted.

Apple
The cost of apple depends on the place where you are. If apple is way costlier, you can include other fruits which are cheaper and healthy. In sunny days, you can include melons, cucumber in the place of apples. If apples are cheaper in your area, buy and stock them properly. Don't let them stay in fridge for a very long time and get wasted.

Dates

Dates are health bombs. They have more and more iron in them. When we buy them, we just buy witha thought of having them everyday. Like 3 dates per day policy. But what we actually do is really ignoring it after a week. Whenever we see the bottle, a thought of having it from the next day arises and vanishes. If you have such a feeling, prepare a dates syrup by yourself and use it. Else, you can make sweets or laddus with dates. Another option is making a sharja shake with dates. Use all these option and make you dates box useful. Also buy only in small quantity, if you don't like dates syrup, sweet or shake.

Honey
You yourself know the answer. We think of having lemon and honey everyday. Buy honey and waste it after a week of use. There is no much wastage in it. Because, we can make biscuits with honey. We can use it in juices and so on. So learn the alternatives to use it and then buy it.

Dresses that are a SIZE less
I have done this many times. I would plan for a weight loss and hope it would happen some day. We assume some dress will suit us and take them to trial room. Inside trial room, we find out that it is tight. It will be just a size lesser. We think that we will lose weight soon and buy it. There is no mistake in the hope. But do we actually lose weight and use the dress ? Mostly 'NO'. Because weight loss is not going to happen overnight or within a month. You can first lose weight and try the current fashion. It will be a happy note.

Products labelled "Low Fat"

Buying products labelled 'LOW FAT' is the current trend. Please don't buy low fat milk. Mix water to regular milk and use it. Low fat milk is not good for health. First reason is that it might be adulterated with saccharine. Second is that fat in milk is good fat only. No need to remove it. Low fat butter is having more vegetable oil. It is better to use regular butter. It is a way healthier. Most of us eat in bulk and break the diet, as we think that it is very low in fat only. Instead of going for low fat labels, try to use half portion of the things. Control the portion size. This is one of the best ways to control expenditure.

Gym Memberships

This is an incident that happens once ina lifetime. Yeah. We dream of losing weight fast and join a gym. When we hit the gym, we pay annual fees believing that it is reasonable and less. It is true, I agree, But are we ready to go to gym daily ? First we should decide whether there is a feasibility to attend the gym regularly. Like, time, cost and health conditions. Then we should reach the gym for 2 week continuously as a trial. Then only we should check in for a membership. Also let it be a half yearly membership first. If you finish it successfully go for annual. Mostly we get bored in first 4 months and leave gyms. The cost is waste. So think before doing this. It is an area where everyone would have experienced a cost trap.
