Any diet fails without a proper planning. We at least have an idea how a diet lunch box should be. Then only we can plan it properly. I thought of posting this kind of lunch box idea early. It somehow got delayed. Last week I planned our lunch box menu in Sunday itself. It really helped me a lot to prepare and take photos in jiffy. Actually, it is a lot of effort to click items collectively. It makes me tired soon. But once I am done with the pics and editing them, I feel like doing something great. Cheers !!

This lunch will be very very tasty and fiber rich. If you plan this kind of lunch, you could make the things in just 45 minutes. It will come up to a calorie of 400. Not above it. As we need to prepare this for office goers, we have very lest time to prepare. So I have the following tips.

WHAT IS THE DIET LUNCHBOX MENU ?

  • We have proso millet for good fats and protein. It has calcium and iron too.
  • We have moong dal omelette for protein
  • We have raita for probiotics
  • We have fruits in the raita, which would serve as a dessert itself

HOW TO PREPARE AND PACK EASILY in 40 MINUTES

Previous Day
  • Chop some onions (for both pulao and raita) and carrot the precious day and store them in refrigerator.
  • Prepare the ginger garlic paste. Put it in a ziplock bag and refrigerate it.
  • Soak moong dhal in water.
Next Day Morning
  • First 10 minutes - Soak proso millet. Meanwhile, you could grind the moong dal and season it. The omelette batter will be ready.
  • Next 15 minutes - Now you could saute for the pulao and keep it for pressure cooking. While, the pulao is on pressure cooker, you could prepare the raita. As we already have chopped onions, you could prepare the raita very easily.
  • Next 10 minutes - Prepare the omelette..
  • Next 5 minutes - Pack them in your lunch box.
