Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Quinoa
  • 1 cup Methi Leaves (chopped)

To Saute for Pressure Cooking

  • 1 tsp Ghee
  • 1 inch Cinnamon Stick (pattai)
  • 5 to 6 Shallots (chopped)
  • 1 Green Chilli (slit)
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 Tomato (small)
  • 1/2 tsp Curry Masala Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Curd
  • little Salt

Instructions

  1. Wash and clean Quinoa. Wash and clean the Methi leaves.

  2. Heat ghee or oil in a pressure cooker.Add cinnamon piece. Add shallots and green chillies. Sauté till the onion starts becoming golden brown. Now add ginger garlic paste and sauté till the raw smell goes off.


  3. Add tomatoes and Methi leaves. Sauté for a while. You can add the masalas. Give it a mix. Add curd and mix it.

  4. Add quinoa and sauté for two minutes. It enhances the texture. Add 1.5 cups of water and close the cooker. Cook for 2 to 3 whistles in medium flame.

  5. Open after the steam subsides. Transfer it to a plate and spread it. Serve after 10 minutes.
