Flavored yogurts are too too good in taste. I usually make them at home than buying outside. So this blueberry yogurt recipe is for you. My kiddo loves it. She loves having lot of it. I started making it for her and continued making it every weekend to have it as a healthy diet snack.
Probiotics is good for weight loss. So yogurts with less sugar become a very nice weight loss snack or weight loss dessert. To note, I have used very little sugar in this dessert. You can add a little more, if you are serving it for kids.

Homemade Blueberry Yogurt Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 and half cups Thick Curd (should be really thick)
  • 1 cup Blueberries
  • 4 tsp Sugar (reduce if you wish)

Instructions

  1. Take 2 and half cups of thick curd. Take a thin muslin cloth or clean kitchen towel. Pour curd into it and bundle it.

  2. Let this bundle hang for 40 minutes. Apply pressure then and there to make it release extra water.

  3. Collect the hung curd in a mixing bowl. Refrigerate it for 30 minutes. 

  4. Now let us prepare blueberry paste. Take blueberries and sugar in a saucepan. And start heating it. 

  5. Blueberry will release its juice and then start cooking in its own juice. Use your spoon and smash blueberries at this time. 

  6. Cook in medium flame till the mixture becomes like a thick paste. Switch of the flame.

  7. Let this blueberry mixture cool down. You can refrigerate it to make it chill. 

  8. Combine hung curd and blueberry paste. Both should be cold at this time. Mix gently until they combine well. 

  9. Refrigerate it and serve whenever you wish.

Recipe Notes

  • 2 and half cup of thick curd gives 2 cups of hung curd (thicker). If curd is not thicker, use more quantity and make the required hung curd out of it.
  • Minimize Sugar, is you wish to do so. 
  • Things should be kept as cool as possible for best results. If any one thing is warm, it will be a disaster.

Stepwise Recipe for Homemade Blueberry Yogurt
