Broccoli Pepper Fry Recipe

In this post, we are going to see the recipe for Broccoli Pepper Fry. It is a pakka South Indian Style Broccoli Pepper Fry. I have added masalas like that. And this will be Broccoli in Indian style.

  • half head Broccoli
  • 2 tsp Coconut Oil
  • 1/2 Onion Sliced
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 Tomato Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Curry Masala Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper Powder
  • little Curry Leaves
  • a small Cinnamon
  • little Salt


  1. Cut broccoli into thin pieces. Bring water to boil and add broccoli pieces. Let it rest for 1 minute. You can switch off the flame.Drain broccoli and wash it in cold water. This will make it stiff. 

  2. Heat some coconut oil in a pan. Add a piece of cinnamon and sprinkle some curry leaves. Let them sputter.

  3. Add onions and saute till they become soft. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes off. Add tomatoes and cook till they become soft.

  4. Add broccoli florets and saute for few minutes. Add curry masala powder and saute till the raw smell goes off. Add salt and reduce the flame to low. Cover the pan and cook for few minutes till broccoli becomes soft.

  5. Open the lid and give a gentle saute. Finally, add pepper powder and saute for a while. Switch off the flame and serve it hot.
